Helping the body recover by restoring movement is my continuing passion. I enjoy assisting infants, children, adults, and athletes along their rehabilitation journeys. Compassion, care, and patience have formed the foundation of my practice within the Health and Massage Therapy profession since 1992.
Over the years, I have developed a unique and effective way to approach the body that gently enhances its inner, natural healing response. My integrative approach begins by restoring safety to the body’s protective ligament system, which was activated by the nervous system as a response to what the body perceived was a trauma. I then address layers of fascial adhesion (constrictions in the stabilizing and protective network of soft tissue called fascia) and sluggish lymphatics. Once released, neuromuscular tensions are assessed and treated, leading to an increase in motion, fluid exchanges, and ease of energy flow. The injured area is now ready for reflex integration and connection back to the body’s natural movement response for an overall healthier recovery.
The bodywork techniques I apply within this integrative approach enhance other health services, such as physical or occupational therapy, chiropractic care, massage therapy, acupuncture, and Pilates, to help support a well-rounded rehabilitation and wellness program.
